The Doors (Español: Las Puertas) fue una banda de rock estadounidense, formada en Los Ángeles, California en julio de 1965 y disuelta en 1973.[1] Según la Recording Industry Association Of America (RIAA), The Doors ha vendido 33.000.000 de unidades de álbumes certificadas en los Estados Unidos De América. La banda ha vendido más de 100.000.000 de álbumes en todo el mundo. En 2004, la revista Rolling Stone clasificó a The Doors, en el puesto 41 en su lista de los 100 mejores artistas de todos los tiempos.[2] Fue la primera banda estadounidense en acumular 8 discos de oro consecutivos. En 1993, The Doors fueron incluidos en el Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame.[3]
